Milestone for Paxton: Learning to wash dishes with mommy.
Yes I know he's only a year and a half, but I'm not against child labor and since I'm not paying him, I think we are okay. One day last week when Cyril was sick and taking a nap, Paxton wanted to be right next to mommy and "play". Since I was washing dishes, he wanted to do what I was doing. I will not tell him that it's not that much fun and it's not really "playing," but until he's old enough to figure that out, I will make sure I am smiling and laughing as much as possible while doing chores, just so they think it's that much fun.
Milestone for the family: Going to the mall to play and not shop at all!
I can officially say that on Sunday we took the boys to the Jordan Creek Mall to just play. I think it's up there with becoming a minivan mom, but I didn't think I would become a parent that would take their kids to play at the mall. Now that I've done it, I totally understand it and I don't know why it took us 18 months to figure out this wonderful gem of a playground. The boys had a blast, and I think Carl and myself had a permanent smile on our faces watching and playing with them. There was slides and steps and tunnels to explore. Within a half hour we could tell that Cyril and Paxton's energy went from full blast to "when's nap time?"
