Road Trip!

Road trip just doesn't have the same feel as it did when it was just the two of us.  Instead it starts with the procrastination to pack, after a couple days the inevitable has come and the packing begins.  With four people to pack four it's now a 2 hour process that I think I've actually gotten down to a science.  After everything is in the Jeep, no more gas saving Ford Focus for us, we start on the road.  Dubuque was the destination this weekend.

After a short trip to Dubuque, visiting a lot of family, and not sleeping that well, it was time to come back home.

Yet one last stop on our little weekend getaway was to stop by our beloved college town, and eat the thickest, most cheesiest pizza ever at Great Plains Sauce and Pizza Company.  The pizza was as delicious as I remember.  We got enough for left overs!

The weekend was eventful and fun filled but there's something about coming back home to "normalcy" and thinking "Home Sweet Home," no matter how long you've been gone.
